Piano instruction:

Carol Greenley has been teaching private piano lessons since the early 70's, She is a former professional pianist, having studied classical piano with Julian White, Roy Bogas, and Bernhard Abramowitch of Berkeley, CA. She has a B. A. in music from Principia College, and a Master of Fine Arts from Mills College in Oakland, California.

She teaches note-reading, rhythm, scales, chords, theory and all styles of piano music. Recitals are an option for all students, as well as participation in festivals, competitions, and evaluations.

Clarinet instruction:

Edward Hollcraft has many decades of experience teaching private clarinet. A former professional, he has performed in many concert series and orchestras in the Bay Area. He received a B. A. in music and art from California State University and a Master of Fine Arts from Mills College, Oakland, California.

He teaches all clarinet skills including scales and chords, and gives all students a vast variety of clarinet literature to learn for student recitals, His students participate in their school bands, district and state Honor Bands, and go on to music schools and conservatories.

Both Edward and Carol record their students when they are applying for college, and submit a CD of their playing as part of their applications. Many music teachers send their students to Hollcraft Studios for recording auditions.
